An Appeal to Heaven - Washington's Cruisers of 1775 Flag Shirt
White flag with an evergreen-colored Massachussets pine tree and the inscription, "An Appeal to Heaven" used by George Washington's fleet of Cruisers in Boston in September 1775. A slight variation of this flag became the Massachusetts Navy flag with a motto "Appeal To Heaven" as their standard in December 1775.
