British Red Ensign (3 x 5 foot)
Adopted by Queen Anne in 1701, the British Red Ensign flag was used by both the navy and ships owned by England's "loving subjects." This was one of the flags that flew over the thirteen American colonies before the American Revolution. The flag remained an ensign for the British navy until 1801.
