An orchestral-choral reminiscence of the birth of the American Nation composed by Margaret Buechner. Contains three movements of 23 compositions performed by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and the Royal Scottish National Chorus.
The second movement brings three rings of the original Liberty Bell to the score to let the listener experience how our forefathers may have heard it announce independence and the birth of the United States. Features a recording of the full sound of the Liberty Bell made in 1959 with special hammers and leather mallets by Columbia Records, said to be the only recording of its full sound.
