Civil War 35 Star Union Cavalry Guidon (3 x 5 foot)
35 star Civil War era flag carried by Colonel George Custer and the 7th Cavalry at the Battle of Little Big Horn. This was the standard Cavalry guidon of that era, 1876. The "swallowtail" design allowed the flag to flutter vigorously while riding a horse.
Size is 3 x 5 foot. Printed on lightweight polyester with two grommets for hanging.
A GUIDON is an heraldic banner carried by cavalry regiments.
