Civil War Confederate Half Dollar 1861
Authentic reproduction of the Civil War Confederate Half Dollar of 1861. This replica is of a 1962 re-strike which was produced to commemorate the issuance of the original coin. Includes a brief history of the coin.
Struck on both sides, the coin is cast in a lead-free pewter alloy which resembles the weight and feel of the original. The coin is electroplated in nickel, antiqued and hand-burnished to faithfully duplicate the rich appearance of the old coin. Packaged in a hard plastic sleeve to protect the coin (it can be easily removed from the sleeve.)
