Epic Battles of the Civil War Comic Book Volume 2: Shiloh
Shiloh, near the Mississippi-Tennessee border, April 6-7, 1862. The Confederate army began their battle for control of the Western front with an early morning surprise attack. Union General Ulysses S. Grant was caught off guard and pulled back his troops to Pittsburgh Landing on the Tennessee River. One the second day, Grant ordered a counter attack and the Union army, aided by reinforcements, drove a battered Confederate army to retreat.
Produced in cooperation with Marvel Entertainment Group, Inc. and Marvel Comics, Volume 2 recounts the battle of Shiloh in comic book form. Includes biographies and photographs of William T. Sherman, Ulysses S. Grant and Albert Sidney Johnston.
