Medium-sized Liberty Bell above set on a metal frame and metal base. Complete with clapper, the miniature swings between two cast metal side supports. The base and side supports are cast in metal and finished in black. The base is inscribed "LIBERTY BELL Proclaim Freedom July 1776". A pad on the underside of the base contains the story of the Liberty Bell. Manufactured in the United States.
Height of the medium bell is 2 1/2 inches; size of the base is 3 1/2 x 3 inches; whole assembly is 4 inches high. Weight is approximately 1 lb. 3 oz., boxed.

The earliest known use of the phrase "The Liberty Bell" appeared in The Anti-Slavery Record, Vol.1, No. 2, published by R.G. Williams, for the American Anti-Slavery Society, in February 1835. The Liberty Bell remained a steadfast symbol of the abolitionist movement throughout the 19th century.
