Patrick Henry's Speech
Patrick Henry's famous speech Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death was delivered on March 23rd, 1775, before the Virginia Assembly in Richmond, Virginia. Before the speech was delivered, the Assembly opposed his leadership as they favored reconciliation with the Crown. However, the speech created astonishing effects upon those who heard it, and opposition melted.

This reproduction was not hand-written by Patrick Henry as he never left a copy of his speech. The contents are the testimony and recollection of St. George Tucker, a lawyer and judge, who was present and seems to have retained the essence of the speech. The signature is Patrick Henry's signature taken from a land grant.

Reproduced on antiqued parchment-like paper that looks and feels old. Shipped rolled, the document size is 14 x 16 inches.
