Benjamin Franklin actively promoted the use of the rattlesnake as a symbol of unity throughout the colonies. After the Intolerable Acts imposed by England in 1774, Paul Revere created an engraving of the snake cut into nine parts where it first appeared 1774 in the “Mass Spy”, the newspaper of his friend Isaiah Thomas. His engraving is reproduced here against a background of the Sons of Liberty flag and a Liberty Cap.
Printed on a natural-colored 100% pre-shrunk cotton Hanes Beefy-T shirt with durable double-stitch trim so its soft and comfortable yet strong. Shirts are not full cut - they do not run large.
