A booklet of projects and activities designed to make a day at a restored one room schoolhouse more enjoyable and more authentic. Generally designed for re-enactment of a 19th century one room schoolhouse, the projects are suitable for the Colonial period, as well.
Booklet includes information on planning your day at the one room schoolhouse, textbooks and supplies appropriate for your project (such as, How to Sharpen a Quill Pen), making a chalkboard and copybook, a few recipes for lunchtime foods, description and instructions for numerous toys and games, and a selection of pages and activities drawn from textbooks used during the first half of the 19th century (the 1800's), presented in the same size as the originals.
