In the American Civil War distinctions of rank were denoted by shoulder bars for officers. Major Generals of commanding Union armies wore a rectangular rank on each shoulder consisting of dark blue cloth bordered in gold with 3 silver stars in the center.
Set includes 1 pair of Iron on Major General cloth shoulder bars. Bars have 3 silver stars on a navy blue background and gold edging. Size is 3 x 1 inches.
These shoulder bars are "iron on" but for best results, we recommend permanently attached to the uniform by sewing.
