Authentic reproduction of the 1773 Virginia Halfpenny. The Halfpenny was the only copper coin minted in England exclusively for distribution in the British North American colonies. Coin package includes a brief history of the coin.
Struck on both sides, the coin is made of lead-free copper alloy. A bust of King George III appears on the face of the coin; the back is imprinted with the shield of the colony of Virginia, bearing the Arms of the King.
