From 1785 to 1795 a series of coins were privately struck bearing the portrait of George Washington. In most instances the likeness was complimentary and designed to please the President. Many of these coins were minted in England by enterprising individuals who had no hesitancy in dealing with the newly free United States. This reproduction is just one style of many that were created during Washington's presidency.
Struck on both sides, the coin is cast in a lead-free pewter alloy which resembles the weight and feel of the original. The coin is electroplated in copper, antiqued and hand-burnished to faithfully duplicate the rich appearance of the old coin. Packaged in a hard plastic sleeve to protect the coin.
WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD - Small parts. Not for children under 8 years. Keep small parts out of the reach of children who still put objects in their mouths.
